The GRB Rays 17u age group has been ranked 27th Nationally and 3rd in the Midwest Region by Perfect Game USA in the final 2019 organizational rankings. The Rays were ranked No. 19 Nationally and No. 1 in the Midwest Region in Prefect Game’s rankings at the conclusion of the Summer season. The Perfect Game rankings take into account all Summer and Fall results in Perfect Game events.

The 2019 Summer / Fall season(s) was a banner year for the GRB Rays with over 33 players making college commitments at the writing of this article, with more on the way. Those 33 commitments include 17 to the Division I level, with players signing to schools in the SEC, ACC, Big Ten, Pac 12, Big East and Missouri Valley conferences.

This Summer the GRB Rays 17u Green team won the 2019 Perfect Game Prospect Meadows National Championship in Marion, Iowa as well as advancing to bracket play in the 2019 World Wood Bat Championship in Atlanta, Georgia.

The 17u Yellow squad won the 2019 Perfect Game Summer Showdown Presented by G-Form in Atlanta prior to a winning pool play record in the World Wood Bat Championship.

The Perfect Game World Wood Bat Championship is one of the top events for college recruiting on the Summer travel circuit.

Right-handed pitcher George Klassen (Port Washington, Wisconsin) was also named a Perfect Game All-American and played in the PG All-American Classic at Petco Park in San Diego.
